I just have to quickly brag or it's just not as fun, so far in the first two months of 2010 I have run 106 miles. I think that is more miles than I have run the past 15 years of my marriage combined! I am thrilled with the number. I am not saying I am in love with running, I ran my 5 yesterday and it was not necessarily a willing thing. If I hadn't signed up for the race and encouraged Mom to fly out here and run with me I would have quit yesterday I swear! However my running friends tell this is called the taper trend or something like that and so what I'm feeling is normal before a race. I don't when I become Bard and want to go out and kill myself running and when going to run 5+ miles is nothing. Although I have taken a few minutes off my time so that's nice. Since I started training in the end of Nov I've run 124 miles, which I think Bard is about to run in one race (cough crazy!!).
Muse was AWESOME last night! They opened with Resistance which was soo great! My ears are still ringing today. Kirk was a great sport and went with me, but maybe I should have taken Matt, he would have appreciated it more. Anyway it rocked out.

total loss of brain power
My day was so humorously bad, no, umm I can't even think of the word. It left me completely lacking the power of speech, I will go to bed and write it when I can think again. I just have to say I am very grateful to be working with such a great visiting teacher partner and the most amazing, loving and accepting young women ever in the history of the church! They laughed loud and long with all my troubles and faults tonight! I owe them a problem free activity! My teeth (tooth, my problem one) hurts so bad this evening which means I was gritting my teeth through the problems today, time for Advil and bed!!

House of Glass
So tonight Elle was having a melt down because I wouldn't buy her a new book and fast food because we have lots of books and dinner waiting at home. So I put her in the bath for a early bedtime and thought I would clean up for a quick minute and in the process dropped my favorite bottle of opi nail polish (don't socratease me) It is seriously the best color ever for summer! And it flew all over the tile floor, cabinets and Elle's favorite pants and shirt, which if she had put in the basket would have been safe. So while I am trying desperatly and it looks like hopelessly to get it out of the grout using the entire bottle of nail polish remover AJ is watching me while doing his usual eveing back flips, roundoffs and general bouncing around when we heard a loud crash and shatter from downstairs. APPARENTLY the light fixture below us by the laundry room was not securly fastened and it fell to the floor shattering glass EVERYWHERE. So I cancelled my visitng teaching appt sent everyone to the basement, ate another cookie and contunied to do emergency clean-up. Needless to say, I am very excited for bed this evening. It would be a bubble bath night, but my room reeks of nail polish and remover, so I will settle for trying to sleep beneath my covers.

AJ as Lord North
So at our elementary school the 4th graders have a wax museum representing major players in the revolutionary war. When Matt was there he thought someone with the title Lord must be cool and he was the only one in class who thought so and thus began our 3 boy run of Lord North. I made a costume which I thought was creative and then Connor chose to be Lord North and now AJ in carrying on tradition choose him as well. So here he is doing his speech, it's a little hard to hear because all of the kids were doing it as once, but it's still cool. I had never even heard of him before this and yet he was a major player for the other side.

Once again the winner is.... Connor!!
Well we went to Uncle Mike yesterday for the kids teeth, the best pediatric dentsit ever in case you need one. And he took Connor's xrays and it's offical, he has a tooth coming in the middle of his upper palate just like I did. I said of course it's Connor!! We are very bummed but he is a little excited/nervous about the upcoming surgery. He wants to know how long he gets to miss school and can we video tape it. Poor kid. The other orthodondist who was talking to us has never had the problems I have had with the tooth moving back, so hopefully he should be good. Well after the tooth gets a hole cut around it and a large trench made so the tooth can slowly descend where it is supposed to be, THEN he'll be good. sigh
Eagle award
It was a busy day filled with Bonnieism's. I won't spell check that word. I drove ALL the way down to the scout office off of 285 only to figure out I'm supposed to be at the one in Lawrenceville. It was a long journey, but my mother in law was a good sport through out the whole thing, and the map icon on her ipod saved the day and got us where we needed to be. We picked up Eagle Court of Honor, hereafter known as ECH, invitations, programs, napkins, neckerchiefs, totems, a book from his grandparents and a statue from his grandparents and most importantly, I got his official certificate, his patch and then pins he gives to me and Kirk. I was a very cool thing to get that black velvet box! There is just so much to do and I'm not sure I know what I'm doing, but I'm excited anyway! The Excedrin is helping A LOT!
Meanwhile, Kirk is in New Orleans for trial this week, the judge is best friends with the attorney on the other side and not making a secret out of it, so pray for Kirk!!

Girls night
I just got back from a baby shower/girls night at a restaurant and it was so great! I had seriously considered not going because I was tired and didn't want to go spend money on dinner. But that was like 12$ for 5 hours of girls therapy! It was so great! I got to spend time talking with my new friends and ward members and more time talking to my best girlfriends. I feel like I came home more peaceful and centered again! Will someone please have another baby shower??

New Beginings
Well another hurdle has been jumped with flying colors! We had a very wonderful New Beginning's for our YW tonight. The new personal progress book is pink to celebrate that we are girls and so the whole night was pink! We had pink gumballs in vases on the tables and pink balloons coming out of them and homemade strawberry frosting on strawberry cupcakes and raspberry sherbet in 7up, it was very awesome! We got a lot of compliments and I think I did a good job on my part but I'm totally dissecting it in my head. So next thing up is a 1/2 marathon and a court of honor... wonder if I can use all this pink stuff for that???

Class of 2014
This morning I took Matt to the freshman festival at the high school. I took my SON, my baby to a high school event!! When the heck did this all happen?? He is so teenager, he has opinions that are totally wrong and unchangeable at this moment, just like every other teenager. I tell him what I would have done differently looking back at HS, he doesn't care, like every other teenager. Sigh. Sorry Mom and Dad, again. We've registered him for his freshman year of classes, it's amazing.

Monday morning debate
About 9:30 this morning I got back from dropping all the kids at school and was telling myself,
"self, you had a really long crazy busy weekend, you deserve to go back to bed for 30 minutes"
But then I thought
"If I don't run my 6 miles today I'll let me myself quit other days and then this half marathon is down the tubes."
The first voice was winning and I had my leg up to jump up on the bed when Mom calls! She is on her way to the gym, so even though all my good running socks (2pairs) are dirty and I'm totally tired I ran my 6 and I'm very glad. I really wanted to run outside on the greenway again but it was 32 outside, so I ran on the treadmill. I watched Yes Man which I've never seen and I wish one part wasn't in the movie but when Jim Carrey faints at the chicken farm I almost fell off my treadmill laughing. So new note to self, no movies that make you cry, it's hard to cry and run and breathe, and nothing too funny... hhmmm don't know what that will be yet.
