Quick brag post
I need to boast for just one quick post. I ran my first ever 10 miles today!! I ran it on the greenway for the first time and I loved it! I really wish there was a portapotty every couple of miles because I was desperate enough to use one, but other than that it is a beautiful run! It took me 1 hour and 59 minutes which is about 20 minutes quicker than I thought I would do, I think I was running faster to get to a bathroom, but whatever works! So anyway I was so nervous before and now I am sore but so excited that I did it and I think I'm just a little bit less nervous about the marathon coming up!! Half marathon that is, 13 is enough for me!! I'm even back in one of my skinny pairs of jeans, which is nice because my other ones are one bend over away from splitting they are so threadbare!! Not good! Now lets see if my body will stay vertical long enough to clean my house! So sore!!

My Son The Eagle Scout!
Well we did it, Matt successfully completed his Eagle board of review and he is a EAGLE SCOUT!! Soo excited/relieving/encouraging/exhausted!! You know the feeling! The 3 men on the board told him good job you're a great scout now you can relax and go help others. I'm thinking, relax?? I don't get to relax now I have to plan the Court of Honor!! So any advice/ideas/help you have I'd love and accept!! They reviewed his book for about 20 minutes then had him in for 20 minutes, but there was a window so I was watching everyones face and body language and it didn't look good for a long time and I was describing it to Kirk on the phone and I almost had a heart attack! I think they just like to look stern and talk a lot so it feels more official, but come one, they could have winked at me or something to put my mind at ease!
Ahhhhhhh..... 2 boys to go.

Parents and positive thinking
Have you all watched the Taylor Swift SNL piece where she is complaining about bad parent driving? I laughed so hard, and sadly so much of is true! I totally talk to other drivers, sing to songs whether I know the words or not and search for my phone when it's ringing, although I'm good at keeping the phone close because heaven forbid anybody should want to talk to me and not get me!!
Everyone please please cross your fingers for Matts board of review tomorrow! I think the more people sending positive thoughts his way the better! In fact if anyone needs me to send you positive thoughts let me know whats going on in your life and I will send them your way! Ric I saw that Kiwi is teething, sending positive thoughts laced with sympathetic laughter your way!!

Pinewood Derby Day!
So it's our last pinewood derby! After 3 boys it's been quite a long journey. We went out on top which of course was a lot of fun! Kirk had a great time helping all the boys in the ward weigh in and he offered to put graphite on anyones tires and helped with lose wheels. He even gave a boy one of our old cars when he came without one. He built a car for the Bishopric and it was the arrow of light car that allowed every boy to win! Some of the boys beat him by such a long distance they asked him if his car was supposed to be bad! We said of course not!!It was a busy day we set up the track and then took it down then came back so I could play the piano at our niece's Lily's baptism and Elle and I sang I'm trying to be like Jesus, our first ever public duet, it was awesome! And after getting up to run 8 miles at 6 in the morning I am ready for bed! Although Kirk just asked me to speak tomorrow in church and I'm teaching the lesson, so maybe I'll get to bed by midnight! What a wonderful world it is!

A clear day
I looked on my calendar at least 3 times last night to confirm this before saying it outloud... I have NOTHING on my calendar today! I don't have to drive to obscure towns to turn in eagle projects, figure out the combined youth night. I do however have to prepare Sundays lesson, help put a few layers of paint on the pinewood derby car and clean my entire house, but the lovely fact is, I can be home today to do all these things!! I even ran my 5 miles yesterday so I can just do my wii yoga! AND to top it all off it's raining outside, the perfect day to stay home... amd get the million and 20 things done.

Eagle Project (again, and again, and AGAIN)
Hopefully this is our LAST trip to the eagle project! We turn in the Eagle application this week and the board of review is on the 27th so everyone cross your fingers!! If you are wondering what the white stuff is floating through the picture... that would be snow. I have warned Connor he may NOT do his project in the winter, walking 3 miles to put in maps in the freezing SNOW is NOT my idea of a good time. Although the kids have a great time playing in the ice covered river and mud.
