So Aj had to come up with a quote for his yearbook. You maybe remember when we found Connors which was "a bad day fishing is better than a good day of school". Irreverent but funny and fitting. So for Aj I was looking for gymnastics or humor since he is always laughing and such a joy to be around. I found several fitting but they were above his head. So I found what I think is the perfect one, actually I had it narrowed down to 2 then J made the final call. Choice 1: "There is no charge for awesome or attractiveness". This is so fitting because he will say "I'm hot..... in both ways" which is now the family joke. Choice 2." I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose". ( Woody Allen) Aj and Elle laughed so hard this morning when I said that one that we knew it was the right choice. Then Elle stops and thinks for a minute and asks,
" Can milk really come out of your nose?"
"sure if you're laughing really hard right when you just took a drink." me
"I really want to try that!" I'm not sure how to help her have that experience but it was awesome that she's game for it! It's not something I have ever aspired to!
For his photo that goes with it he is supposed to wear or bring something that represents him. So he took his gymnastics warm up suit with his name on it and the plan is to pull one sleeve up and flex his bicep... who am I to say no? I think thats awesome! I thought maybe a handstand or if they had a super cool camera let him stand there and do a backflip and get him mid flip! Sweet!

Our Colorado Adventure

So it was a very busy and crazy weekend for us here. Kirk and I flew out to Colorado for Ryan's wedding on Saturday. We went a day earlier than the rest of the Johnston's so we could see Bard and Rics family and new home. It was so much fun! I loved their house and the kids of course loved Kirk. Kre liked to hiss at him and play games with him, Kiwi liked to try and get his soda and eat the cheese dip at lunch with her fingers! The first day there were 4 horses right out their back door frolicking in the snow, it was quite a moment! I got to have my tush handed to me in Rics kickboxing class and we had amazing mexican food in Old Town. On Friday some drama happened when Ryan flew out and cancelled the wedding. Luckily Kirk and I were still with our family so we missed all the major drama while being there to support Ryan if he needed it. Saturday morning Delta called to say flights were going to be cancelled on Sunday night and Monday morning to we had to spend Saturday morning changing our flights, packing our bags and flying home. we were so bummed to leave but we enjoyed all the time we didn't know we would have. Of course I came home to find Matt had put highlights in his hair, but luckily the babysitter talked Matt into waiting to dye Connors hair until we got home. All in all it was a fun trip, crazy but fun!
My new niece!

Well Kirk and I got to see Olivia and Kyle's new baby, Eleanor Marie Johnston. She is of course completely beautiful! They are darling protective parents! I am just happy I got to see her before she was 3 months! Of course I couldn't touch her face, neck, head, hands or arms or anything else she could stick in her mouth. I also had to be told several times how to hold her and support her head. Good thing I was told all of this since I plan on having kids someday.... oh wait.... I successfully had 4.
Aj's latest meet

So AJ had another gymnastics meet this week. He did great, a lot of improvement but still a very tough crowd he competes against. Some of these kids have been competing in gymnastics for years. He was able to place 4th in the vault and 5th on the floor. I think he would have been better on the floor is he was a little more flexible, but he gets that from me! But he had a great time and really loves to do it!

My finger issues
Did you know, well I'm not really sure how to explain it, and the story is way too long. Apparently I have very wrinkly fingers, and when I went to be fingerprinted for this thing I am doing they commented on my wrinkly finger prints. How can that be? I thought everybody's fingers were wrinkly... do i need to use more lotion? Kirk on the other hand has very smooth fingerprints.... just odd. Is there Botox for wrinkly fingers?? And his fingerprints even showed the cool scar where he chopped off the top of his finger while cutting our grass in California with scissors. Still think he did it to get out of going on a date with me for our anniversary, and I still don't feel bad I didn't go find the finger tip... hello gross!!
