Eagle Project (again, and again, and AGAIN)

Hopefully this is our LAST trip to the eagle project! We turn in the Eagle application this week and the board of review is on the 27th so everyone cross your fingers!! If you are wondering what the white stuff is floating through the picture... that would be snow. I have warned Connor he may NOT do his project in the winter, walking 3 miles to put in maps in the freezing SNOW is NOT my idea of a good time. Although the kids have a great time playing in the ice covered river and mud.

Running outside

Ok so I did my first outside run since I started training, which is only like 3 weeks now. Anyway I'm not so sure I like running. It was cold, a chilly 34 out there but the sun was shining and I enjoyed that. It's just, I kinda like my treadmill that tells me how far I've gone, how many calories I've burned.... and I can watch tv... but it felt good once I was done. And another small celebration and you may all laugh. I am soo inflexible through my back and hamstrings that I have not been able to stretch out and touch my toes in years. BUT today after running I can sit down and just barely grab the top of my shoes, this is a big accomplishment and I am thrilled!!

IT HAPPENED

We would like to announce that it has finally happened!! About 6 am this morning Elle lost her tooth! For those of you who don't live close enough to appreciate how truly wonderful this is, I will try to explain. It was sticking out like the grossest snaggle tooth you've ever seen, in the last few days you could even see the top of the next tooth. We bribed with everything we could think of for her to pull it out, and finally it's happened! We are so proud!!

Practicing my yoga breathing

Kirk and I think we might have a chance to breathe and relax in March, maybe. In the next 3 weeks we have Matt's eagle board of review with all the paperwork due 10 days before and it is not done. AJ has his final pinewood derby and Kirk also gets to make a Bishopric car, yippee. I have a weekend with Matt at youth conference and tomorrow Kirk and I drive the 3.5 hours each way to our temple for 1 session so we can rush back and I drop Kirk off to see Monster trucks with his brother and parents for Ryan's bday. It's feeling a little crazy. I'm finishing up a memory book for my good friend who lost her daughter. And I have only 9 weeks left to train for my half marathon!! I did finally buy new shoes today, I braved ice coated roads with crazy Georgians driving on it just to get shoes so I could get my long run in for the week! I'm not sure it relieved any stress, but I know it will in the long run! Oh and don't tell Lily but I am starting to crochet her baptism throw tonight since her baptism is at 7 on Jan 23 after we spent 1-5 at the pinewood derby plus an hour before and after since Kirk is borrowing the track from our friends in the other ward. Who were also our biggest rivals, a few people in that ward made comments that they were glad to see us and our awesome cars leave their competition, so sad!
