A day...

Ok welcome to life as i know it or another title may be it only happens to Bonnie, written by Bonnie. So It is cub scout camp this week and today is Wed and Connor likes to make me push him to go and I was in a rush to get everyone out the door and allowed things I don't normally do just to get everyone in the car on time. SO we are on the freeway and my exit is packed all the way back to the last exit so I decide to skip it and go to the next one, this is when you look back and say if only I hadn't made that decision, but i did. So I'm sitting at the stop light off the next exit when I notice a police vehicle behind me. I panic a bit because when i went to pay my tag I forgot to have my emissions done first, so I couldn't renew my tag, so it's expired. I casually switch into the other line and when he follows I know I'm caught. Low and behold his lights come on so I pull down a side road, scan to make sure my kids seat belts have remained on and tell Connor to put him bb gun down on the floor. Then I notice another police vehicle pull along side the first and over the speaker the police tell me to get my license and registration out and step out and away from the vehicle. I'm thinking "gosh, they sure take late registration seriously". So I get out and the two cops have me walk to them and I hand them my stuff and they ask me why I have an assault rifle in the back of my car.... I about fell over. I'm thinking Kirk would love to own one but I haven't gotten him one for fathers day so... and then it hits me, Connor was holding the butt of his bb gun on his thigh when we were driving. So I told him it's just my sons BB gun, we were on the way to cub scout camp and he wanted to show his leader when he jumps out of the car. I ask if they want to see it and they follow me at a safe distance as I open the door very slowly and remove the weapon as carefully as I canto show them the gun with the big orange tip on it, clearly showing its a fake. They both handle it and question me where the camp is. I told them I never let them take their toys guns in the car just for this reason. So they let me have to gun back and I drove off. Connor is a wreck and wants to go home but I stopped and got them a drink and dark chocolate peanut m&ms for the good mood enhancers and then drove them to camp, giggling to myself the whole way but trying to hold it together to not sound like cackling! Nice huh... bonnie's world bonnie's world excellent....party on!

outfits for kids in picture

Ok So this is what the kids are wearing in the fam beach picture. Aj is in a size 8 and it's huge so i think i'll wash it. I have longer pants for Elle but they were in the washing machine. When Elle put the shirt on it caused her to start singing "La LA LA" which means she likes it. I'm in the picture so you can see my new haircut, it's shorter with a ton of layers, we'll see if I figure out how to deal with it. What you can't see is that we are slowly melting in the picture! It is 92 out here and humid!! I can't wait for the cool ocean breeze, tilamock cheese and perhaps dare I hope.. real sour dough bread??? lets see what else, round table pizza, jack in the box sour dough jacks... Don't laugh, until you have gone without these things you can't possibly understand. The first time I went to the grocery store here to buy sour dough bread bowls for dinner, I found the souths version of sour dough bowls is white bread cooked in the actual shape of a bowl, so digusting. FYI Kirks case is going well but it won't settle. But don't worry "I'll make friends"... thats a movie quote can anyone get it?? I'll buy anyone who gets it a soda in OR!

Superhero Camp

I got to go to girls camp last night and be a superhero! It was fun I was steadfast girl, if you can't see it I made a gold anchor on my shirt and then sewed a gold rope around it in the form of a S. My steadfast girl mantra was Ether 12:4. I spoke on the idea that different trials will come to everyone and to have your anchor ready so you don't lose your faith at each hardship. I was soo nervous as I was waiting for my first group. And then the they came marching up singing the primary song, a childs prayer, which i talk about in my message, it was a tender mercy, very cool! Next to me in this not so good picture but the only I got is super service sista who was brave enough to wear red bikini bottoms over spandex and stuffed a shirt with packing ballons to get muscles! And on the other side is scripture power woman. We had a total blast, we were all very nervous. We spoke 7 times for 8 mintues as the girls cycled through the camp, and they went according to wards instead of age groups which was really nice. Bard helped by giving me one of the best lines, that I am better then ok, I rock! the girls loved it! When someone sends me a better picture I will certainly post it instead of this one. And yes I am in pleather pants and a cape, luckily nothing melted by the campfire!

PreK graduation

Elles Preschool graduation! Very cute. I was the only mother who did not notice that it was a red white and blue themed graduation, so Elle stuck out beautifully in her yellow and pink! there was a picinic at the school after but the food looked so disturbing that Susan and I took Elle to chillis instead! Luckily I brought my watermelon to school in disposable dishes so we could walk away! Did you all see the Disney movie the Incredibles? The mom in it is upset with the dad for not making the 4th grade graduation and he says whats the big deal they are just celebrating being normal! Well this is exciting to have Elle be the last preschooler for me!! On to Kindergarden we go!
