Songs
check it out, I found a song titled Bonnie!! I'm not suggesting it's good, but it is by Supertramp... lmoa rotfl. It's on my list scroll down and check it out, also something like a mix entitled Bonnie Tyler or something, not as cool as a Bonnie song of course.
Simple pleasure and big pains
It's probably a pathetic thing, but the most exciting thing to happen this week was I got a new refrigerator. My first brand new fridge. I've always had other peoples used ones, and the last took maybe 9 years to die, I'm not sure how long my parents had it before that. It was loud, and broken, the door handle constantly banged up against the counter. Don't ask me how, but the movers somehow dented in the top edge... Did they drop it upside down? Who knows. So it died a horrible lingering death in the middle of Wed night, and good riddance. It wasn't a great time for us to be spending money on a fridge, but that's life. Due to the fact that I have many children who eat a lot, I couldn't go very long without one, so I had to choose a fridge and a store that could get me one asap! It is now here, I am happy. Such a simple thing to make me happy, cold water, unmelted ice cream. I haven't bought the new ice cream yet but I assure you the first ice cream to grace my new freezer will be something wonderful, like Cherry Garcia, or Everything but the kitchen sink, mmm or Hagen daz bars.... mmmmmm ice cream!

Another Spring Break comes to an end
Well we are home safe and the house is a mess of clothes, snorkel gear and beach food. I have a three sand dollars and a purple urchin drying on the porch. I wish it had been a little less windy so the sun would have felt warmer, but the water was perfect the sand a dream so I can't complain. The boys dug some holes in the sand, put a towel over them and lightly sprinkled sand on them so they weren't too noticeable, and the results were so funny. This family was walking to meet a family right next to us and their son totally fell in the hole, the Dad waiting for them was like " oh don't worry, none of the girls saw you" and they both look down at my and I have my face buried in a book and I'm laughing so hard! Connor and I just keep looking over at him and laughing all afternoon. They also got a teenage boy who clearly thought a lot of himself and I nice older woman which we felt a little bad for. But over all it was so funny!! We came back a day early to beat the traffic and give us a day to catch up before Easter Sunday. It was so hard to drive away from that beautiful beach but it has been very nice to be home today! I did leave my pillow which is very sad and made it really hard to sleep last night! And the four books I took with me were alright but none were really great beach reads, which was too bad!

Start of Spring Break 09
OK so we are halfway through our spring break and it has been fun and eventful. It was warm and sunny once and cold and windy several times. I tried kayaking in the ocean for the first time, it looks so fun when Matt and Kirk does it. Kirk told me the cardinal rule is never come between the Kayak and the shore, doesn't sound too hard. So I get in and successfully get myself away from the shore, over the waves and into the lovely area in back where I simply roll over waves. Eventually I ride a great wave back into shore and land safely, so much fun!! So of course I had to tempt fate and try it again!! I got in but I guess my arms were tired and I couldn't make it over the waves, I was tossed out... on the beach side of the kayak of course where it struck my ankle and leg very hard causing me to fall and then it proceeded to roll with the wave over my entire body, up my ribs, shoulders, head... it was very painful to say the least!! I couldn't put weight on my ankle for some time, but the convenient part of being hurt at the beach is you put the rapidly swelling injury in the ocean and it numbs it! I am doing fine, I have several blackish greenish areas but nothing permanent! Kirk has caught a couple of sharks on his fishing line and a flounder, Matt caught several crabs on his line. Altogether we've had a fun time! There is a terrific bakery there and they made a cake that looked just like a cheeseburger with all the trimmings! It was actually very good! I am really really hoping for another warm day!!! I don't need sun, just a lack of wind, and I know at the beach to have no wind it means there must be cloud cover! I'll get back to you soon!

Addictions not being enabled by Libraries
Since I have an acknowledged addiction to reading I've been trying to get more books from the library. Ours is rather small but the local libraries are connected so I can request something online and they get it from another. So anyway there are several new books coming out that I would really like to read, but that I don't feel like I must own, therefore the library is perfect, right?? NO. I am number 107 for one of the books, do you realize how long that will take for me to get my turn? What if all those people take their whole month to read it? I'm number 72 for another!! How did all these people find the book to put on hold before me?? And there is another down side, a book I wanted to read but not own came out last fall, I was number 63 to get to check it out. I was patient and I waited my turn and I just got it 3 weeks ago, and what happened? I was so not in the mood to read it! I tried, I kept it for my whole turn and I just couldn't get past the first few chapters, so I returned it! However I am number 2 and 3 for some other books that I happened to see were available to put on hold before they are released. So I guess I'll have to spend a little time each night searching through the hundreds of pre-order books to see if an author I liked is out on there, hardly seems like a solution!
